SUMMARY:People for the Planet Environmental Design Challenge
DESCRIPTION:The People for the Planet Environmental Design Challenge is a Request for Proposal (RFP)/pure design style competition in which participants in and around OC will design a solution to one of two real-world environmental problem in Orange County (each one outlined in an RFP). The Challenge will last four weeks\, with the RFP release on October 25th\, and conclude with the final judging round on December 5th at the University High School MPR. The top two teams for each RFP will receive an award and the winning (1st place) teams for each RFP will receive a cash prize. However every participant will be granted a commendation for the work\, skills gained\, and effort to improving their abilities. Participants will learn how to think like an environmental engineer and implement solutions in different ways as organizations and individuals would in the real world\, gaining practical and essential skills for their future and the planet’s.
